INSTALLATION

GET IT UP.
GET THE FIRE GOING.

  1. Place plate at desired height using a brick or scrap piece of timber.
  2. Use your level and mark for drilling. Remove plate.
  3. Use a 16mm masonry drill bit. An 8mm bit can be used for a pilot hole. Drill 70mm into the wall.
  4. Separate the expansion bolts and pre-assemble them with the Man Thing plate.
  5. Place the plate and readied bolts into the holes. Tap the bolts until the plate is flush.
  6. Tighten with a 17mm spanner. Careful not to over tighten.
  7. Start a fire, grab a beer.

  1. Place existing grid onto the base in the open position.
  2. Find the perfect positions for the clamps to sit.
  3. Thread the provided 20mm button bolts through both holes.
  4. Set with the nut facing the fire.
  5. Your grid may be different to others, so the precise positioning is up to the Man.
  6. Tighten up and enjoy.
